20L Bag in Box — the bulk dispense pack the trade runs on

Twenty litres is the size that earns its keep behind a bar. It's about 26 standard 750ml bottles in one pack, it pours from a tap in seconds, and it stays drinkable for weeks after broaching because the inner bag collapses instead of drawing in air. If you sell wine, cider, juice or cordial by the glass, this is the pack that takes bottle handling, glass waste and half-finished stock out of your service.

Supplied complete: a 20-litre EVOH single barrier bag with the VPTAPR press tap factory-fitted, plus a corrugated outer carton with a punch-out tap aperture. Fill it, seal it, ship it.

What it's used for

Bulk wine and cider for bar and event service. House wine on tap in restaurants and hotels. Festival and stadium bars where glass is banned outright. Cold-pressed juice and cordial for cafés and juice bars. Refill stations selling wine, oil or vinegar by the litre. Cellar-door and farm-shop bulk sales. Catering kitchens buying cooking wine, stock and oil in volume. Craft producers moving beyond a bottling line.

20L or 10L?

Choose 20L when throughput is high enough to finish the pack comfortably and you want the lowest cost and packaging weight per litre. Choose 10L when the pack needs to be lifted and hung by one person, when you're running several lines at once, or when turnover is slower and you'd rather not have twenty litres sitting open.

FAQs

How many bottles is a 20L bag in box?
About 26 standard 750ml bottles — roughly 114 x 175ml glasses, or 160 at 125ml.

How long does it last once opened?
The bag collapses as it empties, so no air replaces the liquid. Wine and cider typically hold their character for weeks after broaching, against a day or two from an opened bottle. Keep it cool and out of direct light.

What is the 12 month shelf life?
That's the empty bag — use it within 12 months of supply. Your filled product's shelf life is determined by your own product and process, supported by the bag's sub-2.0 cm³/m²/24h oxygen barrier.

What tap is fitted?
The VPTAPR press tap assembly, factory-fitted at 6 o'clock with the tap opening facing the bag interior. Self-closing, drip-free and tamper-evident, with a fast flow rate for bar service.

Will it fit my dispense fridge?
The bag is 640 x 460mm flat with a centre fitment. If you dispense from a frame rather than a carton, the 20L bag only is the cheaper order.

Which fillers does it run on?
Manual bench fillers through to fully automatic BIB heads — the VPTAPR fitment is the industry-standard pattern.
